In an earlier post Does anyone else think that was fast year? WOW! I had a great year filled with change, growth, challenges, joy and new things. I am willing to bet that you would each have different stories to tell as you reflect on that past year. We each have different hopes, goals and ideas about the new year as well. I am happy to welcome 2023 and look forward to all it holds. The past few weeks have been filled with a realm of emotions for me. As much as I love this time of year it can be a very bitter sweet time of year regardless of where I am. I admit that I am also grateful when the festivities are over and the new year arrives and a new grove can get going. In an earlier post I included a picture of a bench with a wreath on the back. That bench sent me on a reflective journey that lasted for several days - well weeks - and culminated in a story titled, "The Christmas Bench". I know, super creative title. It is kind of long but I am including the pdf here for you to read. I hope you enjoy it. FYI - I have not had anyone proofread it yet so there may be some quirky things and tweeks that need to happen. I appreciate your feedback.
There is one more week before classes start up again. I had high hopes of getting some work done during the break but it didn't happen how I envisioned it. Needless to say, this week I will be focused on preparing for the semester. I'm expecting a pretty intense few months packed with information, research, field trips, and study. I am excited and trying not to feel overwhelmed about everything I need to accomplish over the next 6 months.
Have a great week and have a wonderful and happy new year! Cheers
