On the hunt for wellies.

Even before arriving in the UK I knew I would need some wellies because that was what I had learned from my research. I now know how serious that need is. Over the past few weeks it not only rained but has dumped buckets! Yesterday, I decided to take a walk after church. It was raining when I left the building but before I got the the corner the wind kicked up and the rain came down. I decided to shorten my walk and by the time I got home I was drenched and yes, I had an umbrella!

So today, I went on the hunt for wellies. I checked a few stores where I thought I might find something that would work. Nothing. So I decided to extend my hunt to the Bentall's mall even though I am not a fan of malls. Bentall's is one of the largest malls all four stories of it. Most of the stores I wandered through either did not have wellies or they were more than I wanted to spend. My hunting nose led me to Fenwick Department store and voila! Wellies!!

As I turned to leave I saw a sign that said, "Christmas" on the lower floor so of course my hunter senses pulled me in that direction and I was not disappointed. There is something magical about wandering through displays of Christmas wrappings, décor, and of course treats. Enjoy just a few of the stunning displays of Christmas cheer.
