Christmas is in the air....

Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year. For many this is a little too early to start the season but if you know me well you also know that I listen to Christmas music all year round (it brings peace to my soul.) so this is normal for me. If you are not ready you can read this post when you are. 

The Kingston Christmas market open today and I got a glimpse this morning before everything was open. The live Christmas trees have a dusting of fake snow that is not flocking. Of course I plan to take a closer look one night this weekend when the lights are on.  A special treat tonight was seeing Lindsey Stirling in concert right here in Kingston! The venue was St. John's Church and the perfect setting for an acoustical Christmas concert. There is something magical about Christmas music, not the Santa stuff, but the traditional carols and hymns that touch my heart like nothing else. I really love when musicians take Christmas songs to a new level and bring new life to them. I recognize that everyone has their reasons for celebrating this holiday, or not, and celebrations happen in many ways and look different around the world. Personally, I find great joy in celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ and His life. I believe with everything in me that His birth, life, death, and resurrection are the greatest and most significant events this world has ever seen. So, in many ways I choose to celebrate it year round - minus the Christmas tree and décor.​
